Pittsfield is more than 200 years old. Most residents are retired and collect social security. The city is located in Western Massachusetts, in the heart of the Berkshire mountains. There are also two lakes–Pontoosuc and Onota–that residents enjoy and that were formed by glaciers many years ago. During the fall, many tourists visit to enjoy the amazing foliage bursting with color.

Pittsfield is a medium-sized city, in the center of Berkshire County. General Electric and Crane Paper Co. are two of the well known businesses. There are several tourist attractions within the city, including lakes, hiking trails, and Berkshire Museum which has an impressive aquarium with a variety of wildlife native to our region of the state.

Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is a fine city. There’s nothing wrong with it the tourist rates are quite well and so is the population not just north of 40,000. The drug and crime rates are quite high here, The only thing to really do is go sightseeing we have beautiful mountains especially in fall the colors mix so well they make you feel free and happy.
