Peterborough is a very historical city. In the centre of the city stands a magnificent cathedral. Here you will find the tomb of Henry VIII’s first wife. The city is very much up and coming. Lots of money has been injected by the local Council to provide paved pedestrian areas and lots of outdoor cafes are also popping up where you can enjoy a cup of coffee.

Anyone interested in moving to Peterborough should know there are great transport links to and from London city which take approximately 45 minutes. This is hugely advantageous for anyone looking for a much more peaceful area to reside yet still have a very reasonable commute to London. House prices in Peterborough are also considerably cheaper than in any London borough which could be an enticing factor for anyone looking to move to a commuter city.

Have a good understanding of the layout of the city. If they are close to the city centre, there will be a lot of shops nearby. If not they should be prepared to travel a lot. Most shops are concentrated near the centre of the city. However, there are new residential areas being developed around town along with new businesses so it won’t matter which part of town you move into.
