Perkinston is a small community in southern Mississippi. It is located approximately 35 miles north of Mississippi’s beaches. A pleasant small town community but a short drive to entertaining possibilities. The people in the area are welcoming and generous and are not lacking in southern charm. With the Gulf of Mexico to the south, and Hattiesburg (a very popular retirement community to the north), Perkinston is a prime location for anyone moving to the state of Mississippi.

If you are moving to Perkinston, get ready to be bored. There is very little to do here, especially if you enjoy urban activities. However, if you love the great outdoors, there are many places to hike and camp. We also have a quaint library with a park and splash pad behind it.
