It’s a wonderful small town lakeside that is beautiful in the spring, summer and fall. The winters can be bleak as the huge lake causes an inversion so the town is often socked in. But the skiing is close, great and offers lots of blue sky. It’s a great place to live if you like water sports, skiing, golfing and wine.

The city does not have the best crime rate; bike theft is high. I suggest registering every bicycle in your household so that if they are ever stolen, you will have a picture and serial number to give the police for the file. I try to store my bike in plain sight wherever I go, and use more than one bike lock.

Penticton, or Peach City as it’s sometimes called, is known for our wineries and and vineyards and our beautiful lakes. Enjoy all the things we offer throughout the year, from tours, hiking or lounging at the beach in summer to skating and skiing at one of our many resorts in winter.
