Pagadian City’s trademark is the “tricycle”. The front of the tricycle is upward and the back is down ward, that is why when the tourist ride it, they feel scared because they think it will fall. And I think that is the most interesting thing in my city.

Pagadian City is little Hong Kong in the south, for its surrounded with businesses like club bars and its balikbayan food or “pasalubong” called danggit or dried fish. Pagadian also became famous from travellers for its unique vehicles called tricycle. There are also beautiful views and adventurous places in pagadian like Alegria falls and Mt. Timulan.

To someone who has never set foot in Mindanao before, Pagadian might seem like a paradise. However, there are some things one must consider first before moving here. First, you need to be careful of who you trust. While people are honest and compassionate, there are a few bad apples willing to take advantage of foreigners who are too trusting. Second, you should not travel alone especially at night. Although crime rate is relatively lower than other cities in Mindanao, Pagadian still has its fare share of pickpockets lurking about. Finally, be mindful of the culture. A substantial number of citizens in the city practice Islam as their faith. If you’re not careful you, might end up inadvertently offending someone.

If you were moving to my city, know it is not a big city. Our main transportation here is tricycle and jeeps. We have malls but they are not that big also. Despite it being a small city, we have very competent government leaders and hospitable people. You can enjoy fresh air because it is not polluted.
