The countryside town, Paarl, is nestled between two mountain ranges and therefore, the climate is extremely cold during winter and very hot in summer. Despite this, surrounding vineyard farms add to the natural beauty of the environment, while the mountainous terrain allows for hiking, mountain biking, mountain climbing, and numerous other outdoor activities. With only a short drive to the city and coastline, Paarl is the ideal living location that offers the best of both worlds.

The schools in Paarl are rich in tradition and are the main focus of life in this beautiful city. Nothing beats an autumn morning in the breathtaking region. The city has everything you need, small enough to have a country feel, but big enough to find everything you need. Paarl is famous for its big granite rocks.

Paarl is in South Africa in the Cape Wineland district. The area is the Paarl Valley as the little town is surrounded by beautiful granite stone. Make sure to pack your hiking shoes as there are nature trails where you can climb these massive rocks! Paarl is known for their wine production and winemakers are not shy to show off their famous wines. To get to know the locals pop into one of the wine farms for a lazy afternoon of wine tasting.
