Onset is located in the Southeastern region of Massachusetts. Onset is 30 minutes from Cape Cod beaches and is located in a bay. There is a decent beach, a pizza restaurant called Marc Anthony’s, an ice cream shop and pier all within 10 minutes’ walk. In the winter and fall, there are some surreal views and weather to relax too, without many people around. There are many summer residents and older folks who go to down south for the winter.

Onset is unique because it has the feel of Cape Cod without going through hours of traffic or bridges but also five minutes away is the industrialized part of town. There are also many things to do around town, which include a bowling alley/arcade, go karts, mini golf, water park, and a basketball court all within a short drive. Onset is a great place to just hang out with friends and family that separates you from the bareness of some surrounding towns. The quietness of life in Onset is worlds apart from a city.
