Oaxaca is pretty and has its own culture, including many folkcrafts. Accordingly, it is increasingly “discovered” with the attendant tourism and rising prices. A big downside here is poor infrastructure, as evidenced by constant garbage problems and a severe lack of water.
Oaxaca is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Mexico. Here, you will find an abundance of art work, the area is rife with talented artists and artisans of many varieties. Stroll through the high-walled streets and enjoy the old-style architecture on the buildings. Peek behind the walls for a glimpse into the hidden garden like of Oaxaca.
