Normal is a mid-size college town in central Illinois. It is home to three institutions of higher education: Illinois State, Illinois Wesleyan, and Heartland Community College. It is also the birthplace of State Farm Insurance. The town is surrounded by agriculture: corn and soybean production are major industries on the town’s outskirts. Normal maintains affordable cost of living for its residents and offers many opportunities for community engagement.

Bloomington is a double college town where two universities are located, so it has a lot of fun activities, but only until 10 pm! There’s a wonderful outdoor Shakespeare festival yearly in summer. Downtown Bloomington-Normal has a train station that will take you straight to Chicago or St. Louis! If you like corn, the Midwest is the place.
