The most important thing to consider is, most definitely, how small the city actually is. It secures the spot on all lists of biggest cities in my country, however, it isn’t very crowded and lacks in many aspects. A positive attribute is that you can make lots of connections, because it doesn’t have many people so you are bound to find somebody that knows an important figure in the industry you are interested in.

Niš is a town in Serbia rich in historical monuments dating from the Roman Empire to the Ottoman Empire and World War I. It has a spa, with mineral rich spring water which is used for treating rheumatic diseases and infertility in women. Its nightlife is quite rich, with many cafes and restaurants which serve national cuisine meals.

Someone visiting Niš should now that the people are welcoming, the parties are lively, and tradition is important to most Nišlije (those living in Niš). People of Niš are very communicative and enjoy meeting new people, especially foreigners. Foreigners will not only have a good time meeting new friends, but also ‘living it up’ at one of the many parties that take place every Friday. Those visiting must keep in mind that tradition is important in Niš: they should not offered elders and should not criticize Christianity.

It is a beautiful city. Someone coming for the first time, should consider trying our traditional food, which is very good. Also, our famous monuments, such as Fortress and more, should be visited. People are great and there wouldn’t be any adjustment problems, regarding socialization. I recommend living in this city to everyone.

Full of history and historical sites and on the other hand very modern with a lot of skyscrapers and new pubs and restaurants. People are always nice and kind to travelers and you will enjoy our hospitality. In comparison to other places Niš is also very cheap and have things to keep you busy for weeks.

Niš is beautiful city in south-eastern Serbia, which lays on huge crossroad between East and West. It is multicultural and has great history. It has its own University and it is a great place with lots of opportunities for employment and learning in many areas. It has great cuisine and huge tourism potential. Transport within the city and inter city transport is very organised.
