Newton Aycliffe is a small town with a population of around 30,000 to 40,000 people, it sits in the North East of England and is regarded as quite a poor area. It has two main comprehensive schools. These two schools are Greenfield Community College and Woodham Academy. Newton Aycliffe town centre has two main supermarkets and a variety of smaller shops and a gym.
