Newport is a wonderful city in which. Although it has some notorious features, on the whole it is a place full of excitement and culture. Previously, Newport was known as a town, but since the millennium, 2002 to be exact, it was granted city status. It has been undergoing a transformative regeneration programme, instilling life and art, to enhance what is now a booming cultural hub, attracting people from all over the UK.

Newport is a very dynamic city that encompasses many ethnic groups. Being a city, Newport has a cathedral, known as St. Woolos Cathedral. It can be found on Stow Hill, just outside the town centre. Venture into town and you will find an array of retail shops and restaurants; the cheap parking is an added bonus.
