One comment on “Newark”

Newark is a historic town in Nottinghamshire, where King John died of dysentery and Charles I made a determined, and ultimately unsuccessful, stand during the English Civil War. Today, it is known for its ruined castle, Trent-side location and daily market. and being a pleasant place, it has a high speed rail connection to London St Pancras. Local centres of commerce, such as Lincoln and Nottingham, can also be reached by public transport.
