Neosho is a quaint town in Southwest Missouri. The area is abundant with farmland, and was once known as the Confederate capital of Missouri during the Civil War. During the 1940’s, Neosho had an active Army post, Camp Crowder, that later became the inspiration for the comic strip “Beetle Bailey”. This area is very conservative, with town leaders desperately trying to hold on to social mores of yesteryear.
