Nelson is a fast growing city with many interests especially in the outdoors. Local walks, beaches and rivers are very popular with locals and tourists. Enjoying a coffee at a local cafe is a way of life and there are plenty of places to choose from. Nelson has a small city yet rural feeling to it.

Nelson is a picturesque city at the top of the South Island of New Zealand. It is known for its sunny, mild climate and gorgeous beaches. It has quite an elderly demographic. Cycling and hiking are very popular activities for the locals, and there are many walkways and cycling routes throughout the region. Housing is expensive as it is such a fabulous place to live and demand outstrips supply.

Nelson is New Zealand’s sunniest city! In 2019 it topped the table at an impressive 2055 hours. The region is also home to three national parks, beautiful beaches, and pristine lakes. It has a vibrant arts scene, along with the countries biggest craft beer and wine production industries. With a population of just over 50k, it’s not too big, or too small!
