Cebu city, also known as the Queen City of the South, is home to the Sinulog festival. The Sinulog festival is held every January in honor of the child Jesus, Snr. Santo Nino. Each year, people from all over the Philippines gather to celebrate the festival where the city streets are filled with live dancing and parades of colorful floats. When in Cebu, it is a must to experience Sinulog.

One tradition we have is our feast called “Sinulog.” It is a celebration of Christianity among us Cebuano. A lot of activities are done in this feast such as dance competitions, street parades, processions and we also have a nine-day novena before the said feast. In fact there are a lot of tourists, either local or international tourists that visit our city to participate in celebrating the feast. There would be gathering in just about everywhere during that day. It happens every third Sunday of January.

Cebu City is famous for our lechon, which is a roasted, juicy pig that is usually eaten during birthdays and fiestas. Every second Sunday of January, we also hold the biggest celebration in all of the Philippines, complete with street dancing, parties and our devotion for our Patron Saint, Senor Santo Nino. Other than moving here just for the food itself, the Queen City of the South is filled with such beautiful tourist spots and here, you will meet the most hospitable people you will ever encountered in your life.

We have lots of places to go out at night. One of those is in Ayala Center Cebu, where you can dine, listen to music, or even have some karaoke with friends and relatives. Aside from Ayala, we have IT park which also has different choices of gatherings, lots of food choices as well. They will not be bored during the night if they want to unwind after a long day of work or school.

Cebu City is the Queen City of the South in the country of the Philippines. The natives, Cebuanos are known to be creative, talented, and responsible citizens. Cebu has a lot to offer to from historical heritage, beaches, and world-class food and services. We are the home of the world’s greatest singers and innovators.

You may find the whole place filled with people walking in a slow pace and you may feel lost but despite that, you will be able to adapt and appreciate the beauty that abounds diverse culture. The vibrant colors of city lights, the tall buildings and the rattled surroundings due to adults’ busting loud music in the area and children playing coins and balls.
