Murfreesboro is a rapidly growing city in Tennessee. It is only 34 miles away from Nashville, also known as “Music City.” There are an abundance of restaurants and shopping centers to enjoy. Murfreesboro was ranked as the 19th best place, due to the low crime rate and low cost of living. Middle Tennessee State University is an important part of our great city, as well.

Be prepared to pay more for rent and homes in this area. The market is the same as the Nashville area, although not as much. You should also be aware that this city is very diverse and it has a lot of small and unique stores that are unlike the Nashville area.

Murfreesboro is one of the most rapid growing cities in the United States, requiring the addition of new schools almost every calendar year. It’s location within the state of Tennessee makes it appealing to both residents and businesses. It provides a suburban living experience, in addition to easy access to the large city of Nashville.

Murfreesboro is a beautiful town with historic roots dating all the way back to the 1800’s. If you are moving to Murfreesboro, Brentwood, or a surrounding city, I recommend touring downtown Nashville. Nashville is Tennessee’s capital and is easily one of the highest visited cities in the United States.

There is a trash dump on the north side of the town. They also should know the airport in the middle of town as realtors have not disclosed this information in the past. The outer suburbs tend to currently have more construction as Rutherford County is improving the infrastructure.

Murfreesboro is characterized by growth. Over the last few years especially, we have seen growth in many businesses and housing areas. Murfreesboro is proud to be the home of Middle Tennessee State University; MTSU has helped spur much of this growth, especially with apartments, restaurants, and other businesses that cater to students’ needs. Those living here get to enjoy being part of a city that is never stagnant.

Before moving to Murfreesboro, be aware of its small-town feel. Although quite large, the town maintains a vibe similar to that of a rural town, despite urban Nashville being so close. For those who would like to work or spend time in Nashville, the proximity to Murfreesboro makes it easy to accomplish this; however, those who wish to have no affiliation with the city do so with ease.
