Middletown is about 15 minutes from Hershey, Pennsylvania where you can find Hersheypark, a chocolate themed amusement park. Middletown is a college town that is about 20 miles from Three Mile Island, the infamous Nuclear Generating Station in Dauphin County. There are five schools in the Middletown school district, both the high school and middle school were built in the last 10 years.

When someone moved to Middletown they must be aware of the lack of cultural diversity that this town presents to their residents and the lack of choices regarding restaurants. The residents of this town should also be aware of the lack of security this town presents, however the cost of living is quite low.

Middletown has been a city since 1755. It is the oldest city in Dauphin County. It was the site of the infamous nuclear incident at Three Mile Island. It is also the location of the Harrisburg International Airport, which is the largest airport in central Pennsylvania. Penn State University also has a campus in town.
