Our city is not only home to one of the primary universities in the Philippines, but also an attractive place to settle down in considering how we are surrounded by both the forests and the sea. Local vegetables, produce and seafood can easily be acquired and the people are also very friendly and amicable.

Miagao is one of the growing municipalities in the province of Iloilo. It is also considered the “Onion Capital of the Visayas” and the town center of the municipality lies on the western bank of the Tumagbok River, the largest river in the municipality. It is also home to the Miagao Church, known as the Santo Tomás de Villanueva Parish Church, which is a Roman Catholic church built in 1786.
