Mena is small enough to be a nice town for retirees, but also a good place to raise children.

When moving to Mena, Arkansas, be aware that meaningful employment opportunities are limited. Mena has become well known as both a tourist town and retirement community. Surrounded by the majestic Ouachita mountains, tourists flock here to enjoy nature at its finest in every season of the year. Further, seniors make-up the highest percentage of the town’s population.

Mena, Arkansas, is a relatively small town, though it is growing. Most of residents of this town are older, as Mena is a retirement town. There are many places to eat, the parks are peaceful with beautiful scenery, and the people are polite. Mena is great for someone looking to settle down and start a family.
