It is a combination of an original fishing village and a modern town bustling with great restaurants along its waterfront area. There are various zones – the most quiet and peaceful one being Zonqor – the busiest is the Central Area – the posh part with the expensive villas is St. Thomas Bay and the new upcoming area is Ta Monita. The area around Zonqor is a rocky beach and St. Thomas Bay is a Sandy Beach – both great for swimming.

If you enjoy going out for a coffee or having a drink at a bar, I suggest you live in Marsaskala. A promenade by the sea gives a fresh air during winter and beautiful green trees in spring. Summer makes all of the people go for a swim in the sea.
