Mapusa is a beautiful city, and I recommend visiting the friday market. The market is especially known for spices, marinated pork sausages, strings of Goan home-made chouriço, cashew nut shops and fenny stores. Seedless tamarind, pickles, vegetables, coir mats and ropes are also sold here. Besides the market there are lot of temples and churches that one could visit.
