Maastricht is a very international city that is home to people from many nationalities, so do not hesitate to approach people in English if you need any information, help or advice. It is, however, rather expensive city, so I would highly recommend to look out for special offers in shops and restaurants. the city facilitates bikes in many ways. This is a cheap and healthy alternative to getting around by car or public transport.

Maastricht is a small city, whose length can be easily jogged in under an hour. The city is home to its namesake river- Maas, that divides it into two halves. The centre is lively, always filled with tourists and residents, and a perfect place to shop or have a relaxing day out with friends. Most importantly, people moving here should know its citizens are friendly and respectful of all cultures and expect the same from newcomers.
