Lynchburg is a beautiful city. It is one that many would recommend. It is the perfect mixture of suburban and city. There are numerous outlets for various interests, from hiking to Go-Kart racing to movies. The people are friendly, helpful, and neighborly. The community is engaged and supportive. The police department works hard to keep the crime rate relatively low. However, Lynchburg is very much a college town. It houses a community college, several universities, and quite a few technical and cosmetology schools. You can easily imagine the issues that are faced when large groups of young, inexperienced people are concentrated into one area.
The housing in my area is fairly low-priced–especially for those who are single. Even though my city is small, it is beautiful. The downtown contains many historic buildings and beautiful architecture. My city is also less than an hour from two larger cities and two hours from the state capitol.
