Longview, a medium sized town in Texas, is more of a retirement community. There is not a lot for the younger generation to do here. A skating rink recently opened. Also, there are a lot of parks to visit. Other than sports related activities, there is not much else to keep our younger residents entertained.

HELPFUL REPORT

Longview, Texas, is known for the yearly balloon races. Yearly many people come out to watch the balloon races. There are also many shops in historic downtown. The east Texas piney woods also offers many outdoor recreation, lots of yearly festivals. You can also find many fine restaurants to try. Centered between Dallas and Shreveport it’s a great spot to find what you want.

Longview is small town in the heart of East Texas, with beautiful scenery surrounding. Although being small, Longview is growing at a rapid speed, there is always something going on in town, so finding something to do isn’t hard. Longview is only two hours from Dallas and less than a hour away from Louisiana.

The community contains coffee shops, high schools, churches, and restaurants. There are organizations to help the needy, such as the Salvation Army, Red Cross, and Meals on Wheels. The community has violence, theft, drugs, and homelessness. Longview, located in deep East Texas, offers a rural atmosphere but an array of “city” amenities. The mayor of Longview is a prominent local oral surgeon.

Longview is a friendly, small town in which people tend to know and care about one another. If you are looking for a home church in which to grow deep roots, we have many choices that can fit anyone’s spiritual or religious needs. Community care and involvement is part of the culture, as most people genuinely care for their neighbors and fellow Longviewites.
