Kogi is a civil servant state. Everything in the city of Lokoja is tied to monthly salaries of the civil servant in the state.

The cost of living, which is considerably high. The people in the city, Lokoja is home to diverse people from different tribes and ethnic groups which makes the city a no man’s land. The person should be able to blend in with the variety. Although the dominant tribe is Igala, the other tribes present are not overstated.

Lokoja is usually hot. If someone would move here, they should have enough money to install air conditioners in their home. There are a lot of water bodies too which means there are many homes for mosquitoes. If someone wants to move here, they should buy insecticides, and mosquito nets to keep malaria at bay.
