We are known for Lebanon bologna. We are a small town recovering from the two steel mills and many sewing factories closing down. The 80s were hard on our town. But it is a small charming town. Surrounded by farms and beautiful mountains. Lots to see and do. Hersheypark is nearby. Many trails including a rail trail are great for riding a bike, walking and running. People are friendly. Home prices have increased significantly. Lots of new homes.

The main draw of this city is the cost of living. Real estate is quite affordable, especially for a first-time homeowner. There is a diverse population and the school systems are sound. Many people move here from larger cities and enjoy the lack of traffic and proximity to beautiful mountains and countryside.

My city is very small and close-knit. People who have moved here even 10 years ago are still not considered true Lebanese. It’s important to recognize when moving to the town of Lebanon that one cannot expect to be immediately accepted by the town natives. Another note is that Lebanon does not have much of a downtown or nightlife.
