Launceston is a cool climate city, in which the weather changes throughout the day. Thereby, it is important to dress appropriately and perhaps have a light jumper close at hand to stay warm. There are a few nice walks to experience in the immediate city surrounds; the gorge walk and the seaport walk. Both are relatively flat and do not require you to wear hiking shoes. Both of the walks offer the person to experience the fresh air and peaceful environment of launceston city.
The air is the freshest you’ll ever inhale and our gorge is the most breathtaking thing you’ll ever lay eyes upon. The people are kind and we’re never in too much of a rush to stop and say hi. Although my city is small, it has a lot to offer.
