know about the Cultural heritage, Architecture, Cost of living, Festivals to plan for holidays, Transportation systems and climate. Know the political background of the city and regional locality of various types of people belonging to the different caste. One should also know the regional language.
Anybody moving to Madurai should know at least a little Tamil and English to survive because though the city has developed enough in past years, still the natives prefer and give a lot of importance to their mother tongue. He/she should also be able to adjust to the hot climate in the city throughout the year.
If someone moving here does not speak our native language or fluent in English, then he/she cannot survive here. In terms of temperature, my city is fairly hot. The person moving in should also be comfortable with the heat here. I won’t lie that our city is the cleanest one. But, you will get accustomed to the environment after moving here.
Before moving to any place, Everyone verifies the availability of basic things to lead the life without any sufferings. Once getting to know about the food, expenses and safety, there are a few more things that need to be checked: Language, Culture and the people. As the famous quote “Be a Rome in Roman”, it’s we have to adjust to the new city. If the expectation is in vice-versa, it’s us who are going to suffer.
