While our population is around 26,000 people, Lake Jackson is a small Texas town. True to the notion of Southern hospitality, everyone in town is friendly and welcoming. Great Southern barbeque, a 20-minute drive to the beach, and our annual county fair are only a few of the perks our town boasts. However, I do admit if you are averse to high temperatures year-round and a plague of mosquitos every summer, this town might not be for you.

One benefit of moving to Lake Jackson is the somewhat overwhelming sense of community that we all share. It is also a decent change of the clustered life of big cities, not to mention it is only a short commute to a wonderful beach for anyone who loves the water!
