Lake Charles is an ordinary small town that doesn’t have many jobs. There is not much to do only just dining out at the local restaurants or gambling at the local casinos.

Unless you have a lucrative job at the plants, it is not a desirable place. The housing market is extremely expensive and renting is not any cheaper. The weather is terrible. It is hot and humid year-round. If you love sweating and summer, it may be the place for you. However, if you enjoy all four seasons, Lake Charles, Louisiana, is not for you.

Someone moving to Lake Charles would know that it is in southwest Louisiana. The city sits about 30 miles from the Texas-Louisiana border to the west and 30 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, which is south of the city. Lake Charles features the charming influence of Cajun culture. The culture is expressed in several Cajun food- themed restaurants.

Lake Charles, LA has its ups and downs. People hold different opinions about the city. Some find it boring and there’s nothing to do while the older generations love it and retire here so they can gamble at the local casinos. I don’t care for it because it lacks a lot of opportunities for people who need to find a decent paying job and the people are not very nice.

Lake Charles is a small city in Southwest Louisiana. Before you move here know the crime rate rate is extremely high. Education has a poor effect on kids in Lake Charles. We also don’t have many good, friendly areas Our under age residents start to get into trouble at a crazy young age.

Lake Charles is a medium-sized city in Louisiana. Downtown Lake Charles has adorable shops and restaurants, and the city is trying to bring in more small businesses to that area. There is a lot to do. Golfing, gambling, and spending time at the various parks are only a few of the things you can do in Lake Charles.
