Kurukshetra is known as Dharmakshetra (“Holy Place”). You’ll love kurukshetra if you like calmness, if you like peace. Kurukshetra was earlier called Thanesar or Sthaneshwar. The name Thanesar was derived from the Sanskrit ‘Sthaneshwar’, which can be translated to ‘place of god’.
