Moving to Bonaire requires shipping your belongs by cargo container. When you first arrive on island, you should have an appointment already set up with immigration to submit residency documents. There is a three to four month wait for immigration to approve your residency status known as a Sedula. Once you have that in hand, you can then sign up for health insurance.
