Though my city is beautiful and clean, it doesn’t have cab service or online food delivery service. City is not a metro city. My city lacks network connectivity for many mobile network providers. Our water is pretty clean and safe. So far city is not in containment zone. City has even terrain.

The place which I am residing in is a town area. The airport facility is not available here; the nearest airport is about 80 km apart. So this place is not suitable for busy businessmen who need airline facilities continuously.

Kottayam is a haven for city dwellers, who wants to have a touch of nature in their lives. The lush green vegetation with the cityscape, not to mention the historical importance, will leave you at awe. The people around are usually busy professionals, but are really helpful, nonetheless. But have a good knowledge of Malayalam, as natives don’t tend to speak other languages much.

My city, Kottayam is known for different names like “City of letters” and “City of latex”. It is the first fully literate district in India and is one of the two main tourist sites that offer backwaters. One speciality of my city is that most of the schools and churches are built by the British before independence. The first school, and the first arts-college in Kerala, reside in my city.

Kottayam is a small town considered to other marvelous metropolitan cities in India, hence the charm and fantasy one expects from a ‘city’ cannot be found here. It is in the mid of a small southern Indian state called Kerala and it’s known for it skyrocketing literacy rates and lush green spaces.
