The city is located, approximately, 300 kilometres west of Nairobi, Kenya’s capital city. It forms part of Nyanza province and its county 45 of Kenya’s 47 counties with a population of about 800,000. The city is one of the few 24 hour economies in the country and has major fast exchange in money and thus promoting the Kenyan economy.

It is the capital of the Kisii County which has a population of 1,266,860 according to the Kenya National Census of 2019. Should know how to relate well with people and be generous. This city is quite densely populated and consists of various communities. This city is very peaceful. The weather is favourable and we do not experience seasons such as winter, summer, spring and autumn. We depend on farm produce.
