Every year there is an annual Christmas parade in Kennard. The people who sign up to be in the parade decorate their vehicles, horses, four wheelers or whatever they have so they can show all their hard work off in the parade. At the end of the parade they have homemade cookies and milk. At the very end everybody gathers around and counts down to light the town’s Christmas tree.

Kennard, Texas, is an extremely small town with a population of 331. It does not have all of the fancy restaurants and places to hang out in the world but the Country Church Cafe, has excellent burgers and service and serves homemade ranch. It is always clean and you can smell the home cooked meals from outside the building. In Kennard, the residents all care for each other. Everytime you look around people are helping each other. They may have their differences but that does not mean they will not be there.

Kennard’s small school system has teachers, counselors and staff who go above and beyond with their jobs. The town is beautiful. The scenery is amazing no matter where you go. The roads are always clean. They do their best to keep the holes in the roads filled with dirt. The authorities put safety first. The town does whatever it can to make sure we are at our best and our safest. The churches always come together for activities and it is never a competition, it is always a celebration.
