Houston is very warm and humid. Temperatures rarely drop below thirty degrees in the winter. Houston is well known for having the best food in Texas. Our people are very friendly and extremely helpful to others.

Houston infrastructure is always under construction and still vastly under-developed. We have a very culturally diverse population. The city is well-known for NASA, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, its own version of Tex-Mex and a growing foodie and gastro-pub scene.

In Katy, the cost of living increases as you move closer to the coast. Living close to the coast caused major allergy issues. My first two weeks in Katy I had body aches, sore throats, and sneezes that would scare the giants. Now, taking allergy medicine has become part of my daily routine. If you do not enjoy scorching heat I do not recommend moving down here. In Katy, Texas you experience summer temperatures in spring and fall. When winter is finally here you experience fall temperatures with high humidity.

Katy is a nice community, It is safe for kids and is very family oriented. It has multiple community parks and pools that allow residents to enjoy themselves. It also has multiple government accredited schools that give children the best education a parent can ask for. It is a close knit community where neighbors look out for one another.

Katy is a beautiful small place surrounded by a load of trees. it’s a pretty place to stay in. It’s mostly sunny around summer and gets really cold through winter. You would probably need some really warm clothes around that time. Other than that, I think it’s a safest place in the United States.

Katy is a growing community west of Houston, Texas. It is what is a “bedroom community” but due to the continued growth of the Houston metropolitan area has seen large business make Katy home. Academy Sports and Igloo are headquartered in Katy and several residential home builders have expanded into the Katy area.

Katy, a suburb of Houston, is a city full of Texan traditions. Despite the rapid growth of the past ten years, Katy still claims the “Small-Town” feel that has charmed its residents for decades. If you are looking for a charming small-town feel, and easy access to a major city, then Katy, Texas, is the place for you.

When moving to Katy Texas, one should be mindful of how high the temperature can reach during summer. Katy provides many community pools for people to enjoy to cool off from the heat. This is especially important if you have children. Pools provide children with something fun to do while they are off during school.

Before moving to Katy, one should consider the lifestyle he/she desires. Katy is a large suburb, meaning that it contains primarily homes and residential businesses. Adventure and excitement are nowhere to be found in Katy. However, downtown Houston is a mere 30-minute drive from the center of Katy, making this suburb well-situated for employees of Houston’s major oil companies.

Katy, Texas, is right next to the coast. On the upside, you are one hour and 30 minutes from the nearest beach. A great attraction for families and couples. On the flip side, you will need to invest in an allergy medication. Down by the coast, the allergy is ten times worse than what it would be in like Dallas. You also need to take extra precautions during storms. During my time here I have dealt with hurricane rains and damaging hail storms. invest in a quality car cover or have room in your garage to pull your car in. One of the best things about living in Katy, Texas, is that you are just a 10-15 minute drive from Houston. Houston has a plethora of sightseeing attractions. Such as a Forest Gump Restaurant and a Museum called the Color Factory. If you are into adventuring and living right next to the coast for fun beach days then Katy, Texas, is the place for you!
