The state line divides Kansas City into two parts: Kansas City, Kansas, and Kansas City, Missouri. This can cause confusion to those navigating the city for the first time. Although the Kansas City Chiefs stadium is on the Missouri side, Kansans still claim the Chiefs as their state team.

Kansas City, Kansas, is at Kaw Point, the junction of the Missouri and Kansas rivers. There are actually two cities named Kansas City – one in Kansas and one in Missouri.

Kansas City, Kansas offers plenty of fun adventures for visitors. Check out the Kansas Speedway and Village West shopping center, or catch a MLS game at nearby Children’s Mercy Park. For those who enjoy history, a visit to the Lewis and Clark Historic Park at Kaw Point is a must. Here you can see where the explores camped in 1804 and enjoy a view of downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

As a Kansas City newcomer, it is vital to understand the importance of experiencing the arts of the town. Two well known scenes you must indulge include music and food. Throughout Kansas City you can find many ethnic food types that will blow you away. The music scene creates a euphoric mindset as you walk around the architecturally magnificent downtown.

Kansas City is a beautiful city. The people who reside here are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. Schools in our city are some of the highest ranked in the country.
