Though the quality of life in Jorhat is not as good as other mega-cities, it is an area of less competition. One need not take a lot of workload. Migrating here for work will never be satisfactory here as there are much better places to go in search of work.
Jorhat is the cultural capital of Assam. It is a city which does not have the hustle and bustle that we see in Tier one cities. If you are looking for a peaceful life then Jorhat is the place. On clear summer days, one can see the distant Naga hills ranging out in the horizon.
