If you’re thinking about moving to Jackson, Mississippi, consider moving somewhere else. If you like hot, muggy, breezeless summers, bites from mosquitoes and fire ants and shootings every other day you might enjoy it. While the cost of living is low, it’s because the poverty level is soul-crushing and no one wants to live here.

Jackson is a wonderful city. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming here. There are so many fun things to do and many delicious restaurants to dine in. The shopping mall in town is very large and has many stores. There are many large neighborhoods in Jackson.

Anyone moving to Jackson, Mississippi should know public transportation is almost non existent. There aren’t many taxis, so you mostly have to depend on the city bus service. It’s hard to maintain employment when you don’t have transportation. Most people depend on family and friends to get around in the city.
