Consider whether you would like to live in a college city or not. The campus is integrated into the city, so there is no escaping the college students or their traffic. Another thing to consider is that college students are all looking for jobs as well as the residents. Any job market would be highly competitive, and you may get lost in applicants. It would be much better if you work full time though, as most students aren’t able to work as many hours, so positions such as those would be more widely available.

Iowa City is in Eastern Iowa and is a college town. It is home to the University of Iowa. The college mascot, Herky, is a hawk. Unique and artistic statues of Herky can be found throughout the community. Citizens of Iowa City have great pride in their prestigious hometown.
