Hurley is a quaint New York town, laden with colonial history. The main street, flanked by stone houses on either side, leads up to the primitive church. The Esopus flats, once inhabited by the Esopus Tribe, are now vast fields of summer sweet corn. Views of the Mohawk ridge and the deep valleys are the same stunning vistas that inspired the famous Hudson Valley River School of painters.
