Huntly is a small town in the Waikato region, in the North Island of New Zealand. The population is only around 8,000. This town used to be bustling with the power station providing 10,000 tonnes of coal a day, creating plenty of work I the coal industry. Huntly is close to many cities such as Auckland, Hamilton, and Tauranga. The area is also well known for its amazing scenic bush treks.
