Dayton, Ohio, like many cities in the midwest, was once a thriving city of industry. Today, it’s a city rife with poverty, extensive urban decay, and literally blocks of burned down buildings. But somewhere within the darkness, I see a glimmer of hope and renewal – a thriving downtown with hip bars and restaurants, for example. Several reputable schools call Dayton and its surrounding cities home. Dayton will certainly shine again someday.
