Homosassa has a wonderful wildlife center in the middle of town. The center focuses on rescuing animals mainly native to the state, including the manatee. Visitors can experience a slow boat ride from the front of the park to the back. It also hosts several holiday events throughout the year, such as a Halloween hayride and a Christmas choral concert. I highly recommend supporting this wildlife park!

This city is close to Crystal River which is famous for manatees! Homosassa has a State park which allows visitors to catch a glimpse of the manatees. It is one of the main tourist attractions in Citrus County. Arts and Seafood Festivals are also popular in this little city and bring a large amount of people together for food and music!
