It is a beautiful ancient city, in fact, the old City gate still stand today. However, the public transport is terrible. It is easy to get a ride, but the roads are treacherous and the drivers have no training. Secondly, you must keep your personal belongings close, otherwise you may lose everything. hotels are notorious for being special hubs for most of the unsavory crowds of the city, only a few of them are safe.

The ancient city of Kano is the most populated city in Nigeria, and an epicentre of commerce with businesses and trades spanning from banking, transport, education and health which has proven to be a great opportunity for investors and marketers. There is a cultural mix of residents including foreigners dwelling in mutual understanding in the city, although Kano is dominantly an Islamic state with 90% of residents being Muslims.
