Living in Hicksville is like living between two different worlds. Know you are right in the middle of extreme wealth and extreme poverty. The further east you go, you will see mansions, shopping centers, and high-end restaurants. The further west you go, you will see several rundown apartments, bodegas, and bus stops. I find this to be a good thing as you get the best of both worlds.

Hicksville is not a good place when you’re in your 20s. It’s very suburban and there isn’t a lot to do. The city is quite far. If you want to go to Brooklyn, you need a car or you need to take the train. The only good thing about Hicksville is that it’s in New York.
