Hermitage, Pennsylvania, is a small town with close proximity to larger cities. It is a great place to raise a family as the people are neighborly and welcoming. The school system is top-notch with involved and dedicated teachers and relatively small class sizes. The schools offer a variety of activities. There is a fantastic park system for those interested in outdoor activities. The city offers an Arts Festival each summer and a Farmer’s and Artisan’s Market. If you are looking for more – professional sports, theater, etc. both Pittsburgh, PA and Cleveland, OH are within an hour and a half drive. This fact leads to some pretty serious local rivalries, so come in knowing which team you support. The cost of living is much less than the bigger cities and their suburbs, making it easy for your dollar to stretch. Small businesses abound, from restaurants to gift shops, there’s a little something for everyone in Hermitage.
