Heber Springs is a very rural community whose population is primarily blue-collar workers. Access to fresh fruit and vegetables is limited to the growing season. Also, culturally enriching activities such as concerts and art galleries, are virtually nonexistent. The potential mover should strongly consider the pros and cons before committing to rural Arkansas.

I find the people in rural Heber Springs to be most hospitable and friendly. The pace of life does move slower here than in larger, more populous, places. The job market here is limited to fixed-rate, blue-collar work. Therefore, the cost of living here is much lower than other localities.

In Heber Springs, Arkansas, there are not a lot of jobs for white-collar job-seekers. Most of the opportunities that are available are centered around Greers Ferry Lake and the tourism surrounding it. The schools seem decent.
