Havant is a small town consisting of a few boroughs. It’s about six to seven miles from the nearest city, Portsmouth and a couple of miles from the nearest coastline. Modernisation over the years has enabled more access to a variety of shops, yet it still retains its old charm with many original buildings and several opportunities to be at one with nature.
Havant is a pleasant town with various shops and parks for children. The local traffic is quiet, unless it’s sunny and then it’s manic due to the beach close by. If you have children and schools are priority, there are plenty to look around and decide which is the best fit for your family.
Havant is near the sea, and can be considered a coastal tourist destination. a visitor should expect heavy traffic within the city, however, there are plenty of peaceful areas too. Seagulls are a recurring problem, as with any other seaside cities, so be cautious when you are outside with food items such as fish fingers and chips.
